Make every day in 2025 a Corgi day with our limited edition 2024 wall calendar starring our Pembroke Welsh Corgi, A Year with Yardley.
Like many Corgis, Yardley is a small dog with a big personality. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are small, sturdy dogs with long bodies and short legs. And big ears! They are originally from Wales, where they were bred to herd cattle and sheep.
If you’ve watched even one episode of The Crown, or Season 2 of Bridgerton, you’ll know that Pembroke Welsh Corgis were beloved by the late Queen Elizabeth. The American Kennel Association says that the Queen was a puppy parent to more than 30 Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Susan, the first one, was a gift to the then-Princess Elizabeth for her 18th birthday. It’s said that Susan and Elizabeth became so attached to one another that Susan accompanied the princess on her honeymoon with Prince Philip, hidden under blankets in the royal carriage.
