One of our favorite restaurants in the city is offering a Valentine’s Day meal that you can order in advance. The menu for Eleven Madison Park centers on their famous Roast Chicken. Anyone who knows us knows how we feel about roast chicken . . . it is definitely the way to our hearts. Just sayin.
Orders are available now for pickup Thursday, February 11 through Sunday, February 14, 2021 at selected pickup locations throughout the tri-state area.

2. Craft, New York City
Tom Colicchio’s Craft is offering national shipping or pickup for a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner. On the menu? Lobster salad, Chateaubriand, black truffle jus, Sautéed Spinach, Braised Leeks and Potato Gratin. For dessert, there’s raspberry cheesecake and assorted chocolate truffles.
You can also add on a premixed craft cocktail to set the mood. The “Tell Tale Heart” is made with silver vodka, pomegranate, mint and lemon. Pickup is available from 2 – 8pm on February 11 through February 13, 2021.

3. Crown Shy, New York City
This Financial District restaurant was awarded a Michelin star just six months after its opening.
On the menu for Valentine’s Day is roasted short rib, pomme purée, kale Caesar salad and sticky toffee pudding. The meal is available for pickup or delivery on Friday, February 12, 2021.

4. Perry Street by Cedric & Jean-Georges, New York City
Perry St opened in the West Village in 2005 in the Richard Meier Towers building. The eatery has been awarded three stars by the New York Times.
For pickup or delivery (via DoorDash), the Valentine’s Day menu includes tuna tartare; mushroom and shrimp risotto; steamed black sea bass; and peppercorn crusted beef tenderloin. For dessert? A dark chocolate passion fruit tart and Valentine’s linzer heart cookies.

5. La Goulue, New York City
Available on February 13 and 14, 2021 for takeout, the three-course prix fixe includes a glass of Frerejean Freres Champagne and an egg-custard amuse with black truffles. From there, choose from options such as hamachi tartare; steak au poivre; and profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and warm chocolate sauce.

6. Portale, New York City
The restaurant’s three-course take-out program, Cena a Casa, will have a Valentine’s Day menu for two. The menu, which will include an antipasti, a meat course, dessert and house-made bread, must be ordered 48 hours ahead of pick-up or delivery. A la carte add-ons are also available, including wine pairings, bottled cocktails, and additional sweets like bake-your-own cinnamon rolls for the morning after.

7. Blue Duck Tavern, Washington, DC
One of our all-time favorite spots in Washington, DC is offering Valentine’s Day dinner for pickup this year, in addition to some limited seating in the dining room.
If you like, you can begin with Petrossian Ossetra Caviar ($125). Then, choose from either Slow-Roasted Beef Tenderloin for two ($150), or Whole-Roasted Duck for two ($145). Both entrees are accompanied by butter whipped potatoes and roasted asparagus.

8. Alinea, Greater Chicago area
The Valentine’s Day 2021 menu features Osetra caviar; smoked squash soup; Diver scallops; and ribeye of American beef. Pickup locations are available in Lincoln Park, the North Shore; Roselle; and the Western suburbs.
