A recent AAA report revealed there are twice as many bookings of flights, hotels, cruises and rental cars for the 2022 Memorial Day weekend, compared to last year. “We’re hearing from travelers who are eager to return to a sense of normalcy, and it appears that time is finally here,” said Debbie Haas, Vice President of Travel for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Travel bookings are surging, with people who are tired of being home, are ready to explore new destinations and reconnect with family and friends.” This upswing is expected to continue into the summer.

Is there any place that captures quintessential New England summers than Nantucket? And the launch of 52 Union would be an extraordinary trip for anyone. This June, Greydon Hotel Group (the team behind the Roman and Williams-designed Greydon House) will launch 52 Union, a standalone residence in the heart of Nantucket’s historic downtown that will offer exquisite and unobstructed views as well as a private backyard.
Originally built in 1930, this one stands out a bit as it is a mid-century design instead of the typical 19th century buildings. This is perfect for a group trip or large family as the residence offers a spacious kitchen, fully furnished backyard, and open plan living room. And for any decor fanatics, Greydon House debuted the Blue & White Room with John Robshaw Textiles (JRT) – outfitted with textiles and artwork from JRT’s new spring 2022 collection. If you ever manage to leave the house you can also stop by Hill House Home’s popup and buy yourself a nap dress or two.
