Is it because they want to be sure that if we missed something, we have a chance to go back and read it?
Is it because the staff is on holiday, and round-up stories are really quick and easy to write?
Or could it be that the process of analyzing and sharing the most popular topics of the year tells us something important about ourselves – as a community, as a publication, as individuals?
Your call – we suspect that it’s a combination of all three.

10. the best brands of luxury tennis clothes.
Tennis is always high on the list of popular posts on our site. Maybe it’s the natural social distance that the sport supplies (meaning that even COVID cannot keep us from it). Or perhaps its that the clothes are so cute. It could also be because tennis stars are among the most inspiring athletes that we know of (looking at you, Naomi Osaka). Whatever the reason, Julie’s updated piece about the best luxury tennis apparel, accessories and gear remains in the top 10 for the second straight year.
If you’re in the market for new on-trend tennis togs, this is the place.
9. the best new book releases of the month.

2021 was unique in many regards – not the least because it marked the start of The Great Resignation. And also the acceleration of the “work from anywhere” norm that began as COVID-19 took hold.
