3. Not-So-Mellow Yellow
Neon yellow has an undeniable element of danger. There’s a chemical buzz mixed with graphic hazard signs but if you proceed with caution, it adds some edginess to your look. Gucci’s high-rise GG-embroidered silk pencil skirt ($1,980) has a traditional lady-like silhouette but the mood is definitely punk rock. How to make a blazer less serious and more fun?

Crafted in Italy from a crisp silk faille, Valentino’s oversized shirt ($2,900) has an androgynous and streetwear vibe that make it the perfect pairing to balance out barely there shorts, skirts, or dresses. Chloe’s silk dress ($3,250) is another great example of how a more conservative silhouette can be made modern and fresh with an offbeat color choice.

5. We’ve Got the Electric Blues
Blue is anything but boring with a jolt of electricity.
