Ready for secret Dukes, whirlwind affairs, and ten vicarious voyages to the United Kingdom? We hope these will help you through your post-Bridgerton blues, just in time for a steamy February 14th.

1. Wedding Date: Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory.

Guillory is the queen of Romance, and while the entire Wedding Date series is sheer perfection, we might just love Royal Holiday most of all.  When Vivian Forest accompanies her daughter Maddie on a business trip to England, she is not expecting to fall in love – and certainly not with one of the royal secretaries. This could-happen-to-anyone holiday love story is one of our all-time favorites, and Bridgerton has us snuggling up for a reread.

2. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston.

In case you missed Red, White & Royal Blue when it first made waves, now is a great moment to catch up on the fun. With the tagline “what happens when America’s First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?you know you’re about to travel to escapist paradise. Come for the irresistible hook, and stay for the memorable characters, the laugh-out-loud humor, and a genuinely heartwarming tale of first love.

3. Reluctant Royals: A Duke by Default by Alyssa Cole.

We are big fans of Cole, whose book When No One is Watching was one of our favorites last year. But now it’s time to recommend one of her other amazing works – specifically, this installment of the Reluctant Royals series. Portia Hobbs is a New York socialite. Tavish McKenzie is a Scottish swordmaker – and he also happens to be the secret son of a Duke. If you enjoy romances that start off as mismatches, you will adore this pairing of the spoiled American and the surly Scotsman.

4. The Princess Trap by Talia Hibbert.

The British author behind the beloved series Get a Life, Chloe Brown has also written one of our favorite royal romances.  Even though Cherry decided she’s done with men forever, she might have to make an exception for the cute stranger she sees at the office. Little does she know, he’s actually a Prince, and one covert kiss is about to make both of their lives a lot more complicated. Hibbert’s book has everything we love most about the genre: secret royalty, fake engagements, and paparazzi that always seems to get in the way.

5. Royals: Her Royal Highness by Rachel Hawkins.

In Her Royal Highness, when Millie discovers her girlfriend has been kissing someone else, she does what any of us would do: she runs away to Scotland. There’s only one problem. She and her new roommate don’t get along. Oh, and it also just so happens that her roommate is the Princess of Scotland. Before they know it, the girls have managed to put aside their differences, and Millie might just be falling for actual royalty.

6. The Brothers Sinister: The Duchess War by Courtney Milan.

New Victorian, Regency and modern royalty romance books like Bridgerton.

You’re definitely going to want to dig into the first book in the delightful Brothers Sinister series. We love everything Milan writes, and this story about wallflower Minerva Lane is no exception. If you think you’d love a romance about a quiet girl, hiding from the spotlight, who ends up being the center of the Duke’s attention – then this is the read for you.

7. The London Trilogy: The Luckiest Lady in London by Sherry Thomas.

New Victorian, Regency and modern royalty romance books like Bridgerton.

We love this historical romance. Louisa Cantwell does not trust Felix Rivendale’s magnetic appeal. But when he is the only man to propose to her, she is forced to accept so that she can support her family. Now that they are married, will Louisa learn the dark secrets that lie beneath her husband’s golden veneer? And, perhaps even more worryingly, will she be able to resist falling in love with him? Read to find out.

We close our list of new romance books set in England with a “To Catch a Thief” vibe. In A Gentleman Never Keeps Score, fashionable and elite Hartley Sedgwick is in hiding after his darkest secrets become the gossip of London. Little does he know, retired boxer Sam Fox is on his way to steal and destroy a painting of Sedgwick’s.
