what’s the life and love horoscope forecast for 2022?
Welcome to 2022! Time to wave goodbye to 2021 and watch it recede in the rearview mirror, along with its set of three squares between traditional Saturn and unconventional Uranus that set a bit of a tense tone. The good news is that in 2022, we’re looking ahead to a more relaxed new year.

The North Node is Moving
Nothing denotes this quite like the North Node moving into slow and luxurious Taurus on January 18th, where it will stay till July of 2023. The North Node points to places of expansion at any given time, and is thought to carry karmic, fateful purpose. Whereas the last year plus has seen a major uptick in digital connections (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.) as a result of the North Node’s trek through digitally-minded Gemini, we are now starving for physical connection—hugs, shared meals, the sand of far off places between our toes.
As we learn more about Covid-19 and are increasingly better equipped to respond to it, that physical connection is just what this shift into sensual Taurus indicates.
An earth sign, Taurus is reliable, predictable, and steady, and so we will likely see a collective increase in brick and mortar stores or various manifestations of permanence after having so many balls in the air during the last couple years. Taurus’ loves include art and beauty as well, and we’re sure to see a renaissance of theater, music, and dance unfold before the North Node’s shift into Aries in 2023.

For the most part, The North Node will see friendly connections from surrounding planets during its Taurean journey this year. On February 14th, its trine to Pluto will help us drive passionately toward our missions. Also, on March 28th, its sextile to Neptune will fuel our creativity, intuition, and compassionate connections. On April 8th, its sextile to Jupiter is imbued with luck and opportunities in all our endeavors. And on July 31, Uranus conjunct North Node will inspire us to think outside the box and take a more progressive approach.
There is one blip to be aware of, however. On April 11th, Saturn will square North Node, which may throw us off course or make us feel overburdened with responsibilities (potentially the ones that Jupiter brought us just days before).

yearly horoscope 2022: Saturn – Aquarius
Saturn will slowly push on through Aquarius this year, continuing the conversations we’ve been having on structures that govern communities and collective causes. It rules tradition, conventional ways of doing things, governments, and systems of authority (like the police, for example). Aquarius, ruled by Uranus, is progressive, unconventional, and sometimes unpredictable.
This year, the reconciliation of these two vastly different energies may bring more questions than answers as they learn to occupy the same space. Issues around policing, socialism, and vaccine mandates will be held up to light. Saturn also rules patriarchal dominance, and in disruptive Aquarius we will continue to see a dismantling of “good ole boy” systems.

yearly horoscope 2022: Jupiter – Pisces
Jupiter has moved out of unstable Aquarius, where it took center stage in 2021, into sensitive and gentle Pisces, where it will stay till May 3rd, when it moves into Aries. During its retrograde phase, it will dip back over to Pisces on October 28th. In traditional astrology, Jupiter is the planetary ruler of Pisces. This transit is one that astrologers have been looking forward to for a long time. Pisces is creative, spiritual, and intuitive, and with upbeat Jupiter making the rounds there, we can look forward to a time of renewed optimism and restored faith. Healing will be a theme, as will compassion, imagination, and the sweeter side of romance.
yearly horoscope 2022: Jupiter – Uranus
To aid Jupiter in its journey, Uranus will sextile the planet of luck on February 17th, bringing positive surprises and progressive change. On April 12, Jupiter conjunct Neptune—a once-every-13-year occurrence—will super charge your intuition, creativity, happiness, and healing, but it could also leave you open to deception or a belief that you can’t lose no matter what. Temper your optimism with realistic expectations around this day. On May 3, Pluto makes an appearance with its own sextile to Jupiter, bringing us power, influence, celebrity, and drive.
yearly horoscope 2022: Jupiter – Aries
When Jupiter ducks out of Pisces into Aries on May 10, the vibe changes quite a bit. Unlike subdued Pisces, Aries is active, bold, and loves taking a risk. We won’t see any aspects to Jupiter from the slower-moving planets during this time, but be prepared for an energy shift from early May to late October, as Jupiter dips its toe into this fire sign.
yearly horoscope 2022: Scorpio – Taurus
2021 saw the first in a two-year string of eclipses along the Scorpio/Taurus axis. 2022 will follow suit with four more: a partial solar eclipse in Taurus (conjunct Uranus) on April 30, a total lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 16, a partial solar eclipse in Scorpio on October 25, and a total lunar eclipse in Taurus (again, conjunct Uranus), on November 8.

yearly horoscope 2022: Uranus – Taurus
As a rule, eclipses have the goal of revealing secrets, dishing surprises, and generally shaking things up. This is magnified times ten with the Uranus conjunctions. We see alongside the Taurus eclipses on April 30 and November 8. Both Taurus and Scorpio are fixed signs, and deeply physical in their own ways. This means big changes around sexuality and physical connections. Taurus also rules work and wealth, so we may see changes in relationship to workers’ rights, such as fair pay or flexibility with work hours.
yearly horoscope 2022: Scorpio
Beyond its roots in sexual connections, Scorpio is a complex sign that rules inner transformations. It oversees the deaths and rebirths we experience when we move, quit one job and find another, or break up with a partner and move on to someone new (for example). Scopio also rules the emotional evolution that therapy brings—the way we let old patterns or behaviors die in order to embrace new, healthier ways of being. It also oversees money that comes from others (inheritances, loans, etc.). All of these areas could see a shake up with these eclipses. As we embark on a new year, lean into this energy. Do this by letting go of what no longer serves you fall to the wayside. Something beautiful awaits.
